The profession is governed by the Community Customs Code (art.112 to 119) of the Economic and Monetary Community of Central Africa (CEMAC) of which Cameroon is a member. Under the said Code, the customs broker is defined as any natural or legal person professionally carrying out customs formalities for others concerning the detailed declaration of goods, whether this profession is exercised as a main activity or whether it constitutes the complement normal of the main activity.
